Chronicle.com is the website I came across yesterday. It was wonderful to sense the meaning of living in the academia. Of all these, consultation named 'Ms. Mentor' was the most interesting. One lament of an advisee "Is it inevitable that after being at any institution for a few years and getting to know all the idiosyncratic personalities, one becomes bitter and disillusioned?" was too intense to forget. For my current situation, column ¡®If You Must Go to Grad School¡¯ was really helpful to give me the information about what to do after admission. While its tone was rather cynical up to depict the grad student as backup cheap labor of universities, I appreciated the honesty of harsh reality explained. I bookmarked the website.
