When I was travelling in Spain, I was surprised at the checkers who were sitting over the counter in the mall. Before that, I had never seen sitting checkers. However, if you consider it seriously, standing up all day is a big problem for checkers. I’ve heard they often get edemas from standing for a long time. Recently, a campaign begins which is about supporting the right of sitting in the work over the counter for the checkers. I also agree with this argument. As far as consumer is concerned, they are not badly affected by the fact that checkers count sitting in the chairs. From the perspective of productivity, it could be beneficial as checkers can be less tired if they’re sitting in the workplace rather than standing up all day.
